Tent Riddles

Here are four riddles for kids where a tent is the answer, which means these are great for using with our other camping riddles.

The first three of these rhyme, while the fourth is a What Am I riddle.

To use that last one, read the first line of it to your kids and ask them to try taking a guess at the answer. As the clue is that it’s something that can be put in a bag but which isn’t a sandwich, they might guess that it’s potato chips, a laptop or grocery shopping.

If they don’t guess that the answer is a tent, read them the second clue and have them take another guess now that they have some extra information. Keep going until your children either guess that a tent is the correct answer or they run out of clues.

What Am I?

I can be put in a bag but I’m not a sandwich
I have a door but I’m not a car

I’m sometimes made of canvas but I’m not a piece of art
I’m sometimes found in a field but I’m not a cow
I have people sleeping in me but I’m not a hotel room
